Wild Foxes is a drama set at a sports boarding school. The story follows Camille, a gifted young boxer who narrowly survives a deadly accident thanks to the help of his best friend, Matteo. Although Camille recovers quickly, he begins to suffer from a mysterious pain. This condition threatens his athletic ambitions and strains his relationship with his teammates, as the competitive environment of the boxing world has little tolerance for vulnerability.
The film was written and directed by Valery Carnoy, marking the second feature in his career following My Planet. The cast is led by Samuel Kircher in the role of Camille and Faycal Anaflous as Matteo, with supporting performances by Jef Jacobs, Anna Heckel, Jean-Baptiste Durand, and Hassane Alili. Produced by Les Films du Poisson and Hélicotronc, the movie is a joint production between France and Belgium.
Audience reception is mixed. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.7 based on 143 votes, while on TMDB it has a lower score of 5.9 from 11 votes. Professional critics gave the film a rating of 6.5 based on 10 reviews, which sits between the two audience scores.
