Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me is a documentary about the singer and actress Selena Gomez as she moves through a period of intense public visibility and reaches a new level of fame. When an unexpected turn sends her life in a darker direction, the film follows her over roughly six years as she works toward a different kind of stability. The result is an unusually personal portrait built around Gomez herself rather than around a conventional career retrospective.
The film is directed by Alek Keshishian, who also wrote the screenplay with Paul Marchand and produced it with Aleen Keshishian and Stephanie Meurer. It arrives in Keshishian's filmography after Madonna: Truth or Dare, With Honors, and Love and Other Disasters, and it marks a return to the music-documentary territory of his earlier work. Gomez appears as herself, alongside Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, Liana Blackburn, Brent L. Boxberger, and Devyck Bull. Produced by Interscope Films and Lighthouse Management + Media, it runs 95 minutes.
The audience response has been strong: on TMDB it holds 8.5 out of 10 from 620 votes, a high average that suggests the film connected with viewers rather than dividing them. Released in November 2022, it sits among the more warmly received music documentaries of its period.
