Full Circle

After the sudden death of her young daughter, Julia Lofting, a wealthy American woman living in London, leaves her husband Magnus and buys an old house in the city, hoping to rebuild her life alone. Her friend Mark Berkeley helps her through the aftermath, but the house proves to be an unsettling place. Julia becomes aware of a presence there that she does not fear at first, one that seems connected to her lost child, and her attempts to understand it lead her toward a history in the house that is more disturbing than she expected.

Full Circle was directed by Richard Loncraine and released in 1978, the first entry in the chronological list of his feature films, ahead of The Missionary, Richard III and Wimbledon. Dave Humphries wrote the screenplay, and the cast is led by Mia Farrow as Julia, with Keir Dullea as her husband, Tom Conti as Mark, Jill Bennett, Robin Gammell and Cathleen Nesbitt.

The film runs 98 minutes and was a British-Canadian production. On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.2 from around 3,500 votes, and on TMDB a matching 6.2 from 79 votes, indicating a modest but consistent response from those who have seen it.
