Nightwatch: Demons Are Forever

Emma, a medical student, takes a job as a night watchman at a forensic institute to uncover the truth about an event involving her parents three decades prior. Her investigation leads her to Wörmer, a serial killer whose encounter with Emma awakens him from a coma and triggers a series of dangerous events.

Written and directed by Ole Bornedal, the film is the sixth project in his directing career, following Nightwatch (1994), Nightwatch (1997), The Substitute (2007), The Possession (2012), and The Shadow in My Eye (2021). The cast is led by Fanny Leander Bornedal, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Kim Bodnia, Ulf Pilgaard, Sonja Richter, and Casper Kjær Jensen. Produced by Nordisk Film Denmark, the movie was made with a budget of 4 million USD.
