Ghost Cat Anzu

After being left by her father in rural Japan, a young girl named Karin goes to live with her grandfather at a local temple. She is placed under the care of Anzu, a large ghost cat known for being lazy. Initially distrustful of her guardian, Karin spends her time with forest spirits and disrupts Anzu's work for the community. The situation escalates when Anzu accidentally enters a pact with the devil while trying to improve his relationship with the girl.

This animated fantasy comedy was co-directed by Yoko Kuno and Nobuhiro Yamashita. For Kuno, it follows Crayon Shin-chan: The Tornado Legend of Ninja Mononoke. For Yamashita, it is the latest in a series of works including Linda Linda Linda and Let's Go Karaoke!. The film features voice acting from Mirai Moriyama as Anzu and Noa Goto as Karin. The production was a collaboration between companies from Japan, France, and the United States.
