Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor

A group of cold case investigators spends several nights at Carmichael Manor, the long-empty estate where members of the Carmichael family were found murdered in the 1980s and where others disappeared without explanation. The group is never heard from again, and what is recovered from their recordings proves more disturbing than the material found in the earlier Hell House case. The premise ties the film to a real estate whose violent history draws people who want to solve it.

Stephen Cognetti wrote and directed this horror and mystery film, which was released in October 2023 and runs 98 minutes. It is the fourth entry in the Hell House LLC series, following Hell House LLC in 2015, Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel in 2018 and Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire in 2019. Joe Bandelli produced. The cast includes Bridget Rose Perrotta as Margot Bentley, Destiny Leilani Brown as Rebecca Vickers, James Liddell as Chase Bentley, Gideon Berger as Patrick Carmichael, Cayla Berejikian as Catherine Carmichael and Victoria Andrunik as Margaret Carmichael.

On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 6.2 out of 10 from around 11,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.5 out of 10 from roughly 244 votes. A critics' rating of 6.8 out of 10 from 18 reviews places it somewhat above the audience scores. Cognetti later directed Hell House LLC: Lineage and 825 Forest Road, both in 2025, continuing to work within the horror genre.
