Good Boy

Tommy is a volatile nineteen-year-old who spends his time engaging in violence, parties, and drug use. After becoming separated from his peers during a night of excess, he is kidnapped and held captive in the basement of a remote house in Yorkshire. His captors, a dysfunctional family consisting of Chris, Kathryn, and their son Jonathan, attempt to force him through a process of rehabilitation. Using psychological games and coercion, the family seeks to transform the young delinquent into a well-behaved person while Tommy struggles to escape his confinement.

This drama and mystery thriller was directed by Jan Komasa, following his previous work on Suicide Room, Warsaw 44, Corpus Christi, The Hater, and Anniversary. The film stars Anson Boon as Tommy, alongside Stephen Graham, Andrea Riseborough, and Kit Rakusen. A co-production between the United Kingdom and Poland, the movie was produced by Ewa Piaskowska, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Jeremy Thomas, with a screenplay by Bartek Bartosik and Naqqash Khalid.
