Ponyboi

Ponyboi takes place in New Jersey on Valentine's Day, following a young intersex sex worker whose plan to sell drugs falls apart. With the mob after him, he has to get away and, in the process, face a past he has been avoiding. The story unfolds over a single day against a backdrop of laundromats, diners and the Jersey shoreline.

The film is the feature debut of director Esteban Arango, working from a screenplay by River Gallo, who also produces and plays the lead role. The cast includes Dylan O'Brien, Victoria Pedretti, Murray Bartlett, Keith William Richards and Indya Moore, with 21 credited performers and 58 credited crew members. It runs 103 minutes, was produced by 30K FT, Tideline Entertainment and Mountain Top Pictures, and was released on June 27, 2025.

On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.7 from 702 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7 from 2 votes. The two totals differ greatly in scale, and the larger sample on IMDb reflects a more tempered response than the very small TMDB figure suggests.
