Hu Bayi accompanies his friend, Uncle Ming, to the South China Sea to retrieve pearls. During the trip, they encounter a shipwreck and end up on the ocean floor, where they discover the ruins of an ancient submerged civilization. The pair must navigate various dangers and fight deep-sea monsters, eventually using technology found within the ruins to find a way back to the surface.
