Set in March 2020, as Spain enters its first state of emergency, Infiesto follows two police officers sent to a small mining town in the Asturian lowlands. Inspector Samuel García and Subinspector Marta Castro are called in after a young woman who had been missing for months reappears. What begins as an investigation into her disappearance leads the pair to suspect they are dealing with an abduction tied to something larger and more disturbing, and they set out to find those responsible while the pandemic disrupts daily life around them.
The crime thriller was directed by Patxi Amezcua, who also wrote the screenplay, marking his third feature after 25 Carat in 2008 and 7th Floor in 2013. Isak Férriz and Iria del Río lead the cast as the two investigators, with Antonio Buíl, Juan Fernández, Andrea Barrado and Ana Villa among the supporting players across a credited cast of thirty-one. It was produced by Vaca Films and runs 96 minutes.
Infiesto was released in February 2023. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.6 from roughly 5,600 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.9 from about 227 votes. The two audience scores are close to each other, indicating a modest overall response to the film.
