Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba

Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is a 2024 Indian mystery thriller with a romantic core, directed by Jayprad Desai from a screenplay by Kanika Dhillon. It continues the story begun in Haseen Dillruba, following Rani and Rishu as they hide out in Agra while trying to avoid the police and arrange an escape together. When their plans fall apart, Rani turns for help to Abhimanyu, a gentle man who is devoted to her, drawing a new and unpredictable figure into their situation.

The film stars Taapsee Pannu as Rani Kashyap, Vikrant Massey as Rishabh "Rishu" Saxena, and Sunny Kaushal as Abhimanyu, with Jimmy Shergill, Aditya Srivastava and Bhumika Dube in supporting roles. It was produced by Bhushan Kumar, Aanand L. Rai and Krishan Kumar for T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions, and runs 133 minutes. For Desai, it was the first feature he directed, followed by Mukhbir: The Story of a Spy - The Movie.

Audience responses were mixed. On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.8 from roughly 7,400 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.3 from a much smaller group of 55 votes. The two figures point to moderate, divided viewer sentiment rather than strong enthusiasm, with the larger IMDb sample carrying more weight.
