Scoop is a British drama based on real events. It looks at how the team behind the BBC current affairs programme Newsnight came to secure a high-profile television interview with Prince Andrew. The story centres on the efforts of the women involved in arranging the encounter, from the producer who pursued the booking to the presenter who conducted the conversation in front of the cameras. The film presents itself as a fictionalised account of that process, following the negotiations and the internal pressures that surrounded the programme.

The film is directed by Philip Martin, who has worked largely in television drama, with credits including the television films Hawking, Einstein and Eddington and Mo, and the feature The Forger. It appeared in 2024, several years after his previous directing work. Peter Moffat and Geoff Bussetil wrote the screenplay. Gillian Anderson plays presenter Emily Maitlis, with Billie Piper as producer Sam McAlister, Rufus Sewell as Prince Andrew, Keeley Hawes as Amanda Thirsk and Romola Garai as Esme Wren. Thirty-three performers are credited.

Released in March 2024, Scoop runs 103 minutes. It holds a rating of 6.5 out of 10 on IMDb from around 22,000 votes, and 6.4 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 267 votes. A critics' score of 6.7 out of 10 from 85 reviews places it slightly above the audience scores on both platforms.
