The Soul Eater

In a secluded mountain village in the Vosges region, a series of brutal murders and the disappearance of several children plague the community. Investigator Elisabeth Guardiano and Gendarmerie Captain Franck de Rolan arrive separately to handle these cases, but they are forced to collaborate when they face a hostile local population. As they search for the truth, they discover a connection between the violence and an old occult legend involving a soul-eating creature.

The film was co-directed by Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, following their previous collaborations on five films including Inside and Kandisha. The screenplay was written by Bustillo, Maury, and Annelyse Batrel. The lead roles are played by Virginie Ledoyen and Paul Hamy, with a supporting cast that includes Sandrine Bonnaire, Malik Zidi, Manu Lanzi, and Christophe Favre.
