The Watchers

Mina, a 28-year-old artist, is driving through western Ireland when her car breaks down at the edge of a vast forest that appears on no map. Searching for help, she is drawn to a concrete bunker, where she finds herself sealed in with three strangers: Madeline, Ciara and Daniel. Each night, mysterious creatures emerge from the woods and observe the group through the bunker's glass wall, and anyone caught outside after dark meets a terrible fate. Unable to leave and with no clear explanation for what the creatures want, Mina and her companions try to understand their situation and find a way out.

The Watchers is a fantasy horror mystery written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan, marking her feature debut, and produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad. Dakota Fanning leads the cast as Mina, alongside Georgina Campbell, Olwen Fouéré and Oliver Finnegan.

Made for a budget of about 30 million US dollars, the film took roughly 51 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds a 5.7 rating from around 69,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.3 from about 1,725 votes. A critics' rating of 5 out of 10 from 184 reviews places it in similar territory to the audience scores.
