Donato and Daughter

A string of killings in Los Angeles brings together two police detectives who happen to be father and daughter. Mike Donato and Dena Donato have long been at odds, and the investigation forces them to work as partners while the case puts pressure on the distance between them. Their personal history, including the death of Dena's brother, resurfaces as the inquiry proceeds.

The film is a television crime drama directed by Rod Holcomb, arriving in 1993 between his earlier television features and later work such as Convict Cowboy. Charles Bronson, by then a veteran screen presence, plays Mike Donato, while Dana Delany plays his daughter Dena. The supporting cast includes Xander Berkeley, Jenette Goldstein, Louis Giambalvo and Marc Alaimo, with thirty credited performers in all. It was produced by Anne Carlucci and Marian Brayton for CBS, with World International Network and Multimedia Motion Pictures involved, and runs ninety minutes.
