Doug Masters is an eighteen-year-old who has been flying jet aircraft since before he was old enough to drive, and he has long wanted to follow his father, Air Force Colonel Ted Masters, into the cockpit. When his father is shot down and taken prisoner by a hostile Middle Eastern state, Doug finds that official channels will not move to free him. He turns instead to Charles "Chappy" Sinclair, an Air Force colonel who takes an interest in the young man's plan: the two of them will fly the mission themselves.
Sidney J. Furie directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Elders. Scott as Reggie and Caroline Lagerfelt as Elizabeth Masters among a credited cast of 22.
