Goodbye Julia

Mona is a retired singer living in northern Sudan in the period leading up to the country's division. She carries the weight of having concealed her part in a man's death, and when she brings the dead man's widow, Julia, into her household as a maid, she does so without telling Julia the truth about her own involvement. Mona's marriage is strained, and as she tries to settle into this new arrangement and leave the past behind, the political turmoil building around her threatens to expose what she has hidden.

Goodbye Julia is a drama directed and written by Mohamed Kordofani, marking his feature-length debut. It was produced by Amjad Abu Alala, Mohamed Al Omda and Mohamed Alomd'a, and made through companies based in Germany, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, France and Sweden. Eiman Yousif plays Mona and Siran Riak plays Julia, with Nazar Gomaa, Ger Duany, Issraa Elkogali Häggström and Mustafa Alkhalifa among the credited cast of thirty-four.
