Vika!

This musical documentary follows Vika, an 84-year-old DJ and a prominent figure in the nightlife of Warsaw. Despite a professional background as a special education teacher and a director of a maximum-security correctional facility, she now spends her time celebrating life through music and surrounding herself with younger people. The film explores her resistance to aging stereotypes and her desire to remain active, while also examining the challenges of declining health and the loneliness that comes with growing older.

Agnieszka Zwiefka wrote and directed the film, which marks the first in a chronological list of her directorial works, followed by Silent Trees in 2024. The production features Wirginia Szmyt appearing as herself. The project was a multinational effort involving production companies from Germany, Poland, and other European nations, including FFA and PISF. The final film has a runtime of 79 minutes.
