To the Woods

A young girl remembers a summer night spent with her ten-year-old brother. The two children leave their home by a window to swim in a nearby river, but as they walk back hand in hand during an approaching storm, the brother suddenly vanishes. The story explores the girl's desperate search for him and questions whether the event was a trick of the forest or a distortion of her own memory many years later.
