This Time Next Year

This romantic comedy follows Minnie and Quinn, who were born in a London hospital on the same New Year's Day thirty years prior. Although they entered the world only a minute apart, they grew into very different people. When they encounter one another again in London on New Year's Eve, Minnie believes that Quinn stole her luck at birth, leading to a life of misfortune. Quinn seeks to rectify this misunderstanding, and the two must determine if their reunion is the result of his efforts or fate.

The film was directed by Nick Moore, following his 2008 film Wild Child. The screenplay was written by Sophie Cousens. The cast features Sophie Cookson as Minnie Cooper and Lucien Laviscount as Quinn Hamilton, supported by John Hannah, Golda Rosheuvel, Monica Dolan, and Mandip Gill. A total of 22 actors are credited in the production, which was a joint effort between Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy.
