I, Object

I, Object is an animated fantasy drama about a ten-year-old boy named Tom who struggles to communicate with others while mourning the death of his father. To cope with his grief, he finds solace in everyday household items that come to life and speak to him. While these living objects provide emotional support, they cause friction with Tom's stepfather, who views them as mere trash. The story follows Tom as he attempts to rescue his inanimate friends and find a sense of belonging.

The film was written and directed by Andrew Niccol, following his previous work on projects such as Gattaca, S1m0ne, Lord of War, In Time, The Host, Good Kill, and Anon. The cast features Bentley Storteboom as Tom, with Skywalker Hughes, Karl Urban, and Anna Faris in supporting roles. Additionally, Ethan Hawke and Jemaine Clement provide the voices for the characters Little Ben and Pop. This international production involved companies from Australia, Spain, Canada, the United States, and New Zealand.
