Tom is a former professional tennis player working as a coach at a resort on the island of Fuerteventura. He spends his days teaching guests and his nights drinking and pursuing brief romances to escape his repetitive routine. His life changes when he meets Anne, a tourist who arrives with her husband, Dave, and their son, Anton. Tom feels a strange familiarity with Anne, and as he grows closer to the family, a bond forms between them. However, the situation turns into a mystery when Dave disappears, leading the police to view Tom and Anne as suspects.

The film was directed by Jan Ole Gerster, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Lawrie Doran and Blaž Kutin. This production follows Gerster's previous films, A Coffee in Berlin and Lara. The cast features Sam Riley as Tom, Stacy Martin as Anne, and Jack Farthing as Dave, alongside Dylan Torrell, Agnes Lindström Bolmgren, and Bruna Cusí. This crime drama thriller is a joint production from Germany and the United Kingdom.
