In Johannesburg, two disgraced undercover officers are handed a case involving the biggest gold robbery in South African history. As they work their way into the criminal gang believed to have planned the theft, they find themselves weighing whether to protect a dictator's fortune or help the robbers pull off their scheme. The choice between conscience and duty sits at the centre of the story.
iNumber Number: Jozi Gold is a South African action crime thriller directed and written by Donovan Marsh. Presley Chweneyagae plays Shoes and S'Dumo Mtshali plays Chili Ncgobo, with Brenda Ngxoli, Noxolo Dlamini, Kgosi Flietor and Deon Lotz in supporting roles. It is the fifth feature Marsh directed, following Spud, Avenged, Hunter Killer and I Am All Girls.
The film runs 113 minutes and was released in June 2023. On TMDB it holds a rating of 5.7 out of 10 from 33 votes, a modest score from a small sample that suggests a mixed response rather than strong enthusiasm among those who have logged it. It stands as one of several crime-driven projects Marsh has made, and it shares its Johannesburg underworld setting and one of its lead actors with the earlier South African film iNumber Number.
