Super Fuzz

Super Fuzz is a 1980 action comedy about Dave Speed, a Miami police officer sent to a small Native American reservation in the Florida Everglades. While he is there, a nuclear missile test goes wrong and he is exposed to radiation, which leaves him with telekinesis, superhuman strength and an almost indestructible body. His powers desert him whenever he sees the colour red. With his older partner Willy Dunlop, and against the doubts of his girlfriend, Dave uses his abilities to take on a gang of counterfeiters and their boss, Torpedo.

The film is directed by Sergio Corbucci, the twelfth of the fourteen films he directed in chronological order, following Odds and Evens and preceding Who Finds a Friend Finds a Treasure. Corbucci wrote the screenplay with Sabatino Ciuffini. Terence Hill plays Dave Speed, with Ernest Borgnine as Willy Dunlop, Joanne Dru as the film star Rosy Labouche and Marc Lawrence as Torpedo. The Italian, Spanish and American production runs 104 minutes.
