The White Worm's skull was made from a cow's skull. Sculptural overlays were added to the original skull, and the cow's teeth were removed and replaced with artificial ones resembling snake fangs.
A total of two skulls were made for the filming of the movie.
The White Worm's mouth, visible in the tunnel shortly before the film's finale, was painted onto the hood of a Volkswagen Beetle.
