The Light

The Light is a drama centered on the Engels family, consisting of parents Tim and Milena, their nearly adult twins Frieda and Jon, and their son Dio. The family is struggling with internal instability and the pressures of the modern world. Their dynamic shifts when they hire Farrah, a mysterious Syrian woman working as their housekeeper. Her presence challenges the emotional state of the household and forces the family members to confront their own secrets and the consequences of their actions.

Directed and written by Tom Tykwer, this production followed his previous work, A Hologram for the King.
