Marlo Manners, a famous Hollywood actress and sex symbol, marries her sixth husband, Sir Michael Barrington, at a London hotel where her previous weddings took place. A peace conference is being held in the same building, and Alexei Karansky, a Russian delegate who is one of her former husbands, refuses to sign the agreement unless he spends a night with her. At the same time, a tape on which Marlo recorded details of her affairs and marriages goes missing, and her agent scrambles to keep it from falling into the wrong hands. The film follows the confusion that ensues as Marlo tries to handle both problems while her new husband waits.
