The Parekh family returns for another adventure, this time with Praful at the centre of events as the ruler of Paanthukistan, a country that does not exist. The family sets out on a mission to save the world, and their journey takes them through cities, beaches, snowy mountains, deserts and caves, with the absurd humour and running gags that define the household carrying the story along.
Aatish Kapadia directs and writes, with JD Majethia producing under the Hats Off Productions banner. The film is a sequel that follows the earlier big-screen outing of the Parekh family, and Kapadia and Majethia are long-standing collaborators on the franchise across its television and film versions. Supriya Pathak and Rajeev Mehta reprise their roles as Hansa and Praful Parekh, with Anang Desai as Babuji, Vandana Pathak as Jayshree and JD Majethia as Himanshu. Kirti Kulhari joins the cast as Parminder. Twenty actors are credited in all.
The film runs 122 minutes and was released in theatres on 16 November 2023. It is a Hindi-language comedy with family elements, made in India. It extends the Parekh family's story to a larger scale, moving the characters out of their usual domestic setting and into a globe-trotting caper built around mistaken authority and the comedy of a fictional nation.
