Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction Part 1

An enormous spacecraft has hovered over Tokyo for three years, sparking a one-sided war with aliens that appear harmless. This strange conflict has divided society and encouraged pacifism, yet high school students Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa Ouran continue their daily routines as if the situation were normal. Rather than focusing on the extraterrestrial threat, the story examines coming of age, human behavior, and personal relationships.

The film was directed by Tomoyuki Kurokawa, following his 2022 work Break of Dawn and preceding the second part of this story released later in 2024. It features a screenplay by Reiko Yoshida and a voice cast including Lilas Ikuta, ano, Atsumi Tanezaki, Miyuri Shimabukuro, Saeko Oas, and Azumi Waki. Produced in Japan by Shogakukan, GAGA Corporation, and Production +h, the animation earned 2 million USD at the worldwide box office.

The movie has a moderately positive reception among viewers, with a rating of 7.1 on IMDb based on 163 votes and a 6.5 rating on TMDB from 11 votes.
