Short description
Miles Morales has settled into life as Brooklyn's Spider-Man, balancing school with his double life, when a reunion with Gwen Stacy pulls him across the Multiverse. There he meets the Spider Society, a large team of Spider-People from many realities who guard the stability of the Multiverse. When a new threat exposes a disagreement among them over how to respond, Miles finds himself at odds with the other Spiders and sets out on his own to protect the people closest to him.
The film is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson and Kemp Powers, with a screenplay by Dave Callaham, Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. It is the second of three animated Spider-Verse features and follows Dos Santos's earlier DC animated work. Shameik Moore voices Miles, Hailee Steinfeld voices Gwen, and Brian Tyree Henry and Luna Lauren Vélez voice his parents. Jake Johnson returns as Peter B. Parker and Oscar Isaac plays Miguel O'Hara. The voice cast and crew together run to several hundred credited people.
Made for about 100 million USD, the film took roughly 691 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 8.4 out of 10 across more than 9,000 votes, while a critics' rating stands at 8.6 out of 10 from 386 reviews, so critics and audiences are closely aligned in their assessment.
