In Belfast, a music teacher named JJ meets two young men, Naoise and Liam Óg, after a chance encounter at a police station. Together, they form a hip-hop group that raps in the Irish language. As their music gains popularity, the trio becomes an unexpected political symbol for a generation striving to preserve its native tongue. Their rise to fame brings them into conflict with the authorities and various established powers, who attempt to stop their momentum through boycotts and other pressures.
