Short description

Timmy Cleary returns to his Bronx home at the end of World War II and is soon disillusioned to find his parents' marriage filled with discord, quarreling, and recriminations.

What's left behind the scenes

  • Patricia Neal's (1926-2010) first film followed three severe strokes in 1965 that nearly killed her. At the time, Neal remained in a coma for two and a half weeks and underwent brain surgery. Following this, the entire right side of the actress's body was paralyzed, and she had to relearn how to use her limbs, how to speak, and even how to read the alphabet.
