Yunan

Munir, a Syrian writer living in exile, travels to a remote island in Germany intending to end his life. He is burdened by a cryptic parable his mother once told him. On the island he meets Valeska, an elderly hotel keeper, and her blunt but devoted son Karl. Few words pass between them, yet small acts of kindness gradually wear down the mutual distrust, lightening Munir's load and stirring his wish to live again.

Yunan is a drama directed and written by Ameer Fakher Eldin, running 125 minutes and released in November 2025.
