The Woman in the Line is a drama based on the life of Andrea Casamento, a middle-class woman whose life is upended when her eighteen-year-old son is wrongfully imprisoned. As she fights to secure his release, she must navigate the complexities of the legal system and witness the mistreatment of inmates. Through this process, she confronts her own personal values and prejudices, eventually finding solidarity with other women visiting the prison. This connection transforms her into an advocate for justice reform and leads her to form an unexpected romantic bond with another prisoner.
Directed by Benjamín Ávila, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Marcelo Müller, this co-production between Argentina and Spain features Natalia Oreiro in the lead role. The ensemble cast includes Amparo Noguera, Alberto Ammann, Federico Heinrich, Marcela Acuña, and Juan Pedro Rodríguez Isturiz. The production involved a large team of 92 credited crew members and 62 credited cast members.
