La Nuit Littéraire is a French production that blends elements of horror, fantasy, comedy, and mystery. The story follows a young girl named Marta who becomes trapped inside a library after dark. As she remains locked inside, the books around her come to life, causing the boundaries between the physical world and imagination to disappear.
The film was written and directed by Justine Tristan Dartois, marking the fifth project in a series of films she directed in 2024, following L'AMOUR TUE, Spiritueux sans fond sur les événements, Blue Crab, and Alter Ego Film Project. Dartois also served as a producer alongside Clément FSD. The cast is led by Clémence Auffray in the role of Marta, with Laura Gratias appearing as Marie. The production features several voice roles, including Rafael Cherkaski as the Marquis de Sade, Zoé Demarez as Agatha Christie, Arthur Dunwich as the dictionary, and Clémence Chevalier as Milan Kundera. The 25-minute movie was produced by Foetus films, Ulule, and A Deadly Poets Films and was released on October 16, 2024.
