Fifteen-year-old Malou is a skilled rower in a small Belgian town, but she faces harassment from her teammates and a lack of support from her mother. She relies primarily on her brother, Max, for emotional stability. However, her life becomes complicated when she develops romantic feelings for Max's girlfriend, Nouria. This attraction forces Malou to confront her identity and accept her true self, even if it risks damaging her relationship with her brother.

This Belgian drama was directed by Cecilia Verheyden, who also wrote the screenplay alongside Vincent Vanneste. This is the second film Verheyden has directed, following her 2021 work Ferry. The movie features Femke Vanhove in the lead role as Malou, supported by Lina Miftah as Nouria, Wout Vleugels as Max, and Natali Broods as Annick. The production was a collaboration between several companies, including Les Films du Fleuve, Grand Slam Productions, Mirage Films, and Lemming Film, with Elisa Heene serving as producer.
