The Firing Squad

Based on a true story, this drama follows three Christians imprisoned in a third-world country who are sentenced to death. As they await execution, their faith and composure in the face of death draw the attention of the prison camp around them and lead to an outcome no one anticipated.

The film is directed and written by Timothy A. Chey, who also produces alongside Susan F. Chey and Nadia Maximova. It is his fourth feature as director, following Final: The Rapture, David and Goliath and 20 Minutes. The cast is led by James Barrington, Kevin Sorbo, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tupua Ainu'u, Eric Roberts and Edmund Kwan, with 51 credited roles in total. It was released in the United States in August 2024 and runs 96 minutes.

The film took in about 2 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5 out of 10 from roughly 5,100 votes, while on TMDB its rating stands at 5.8 out of 10 from a much smaller sample of 14 votes, so the two audience scores reflect very different levels of participation.
