To a Land Unknown

To a Land Unknown follows two Palestinian cousins, Chatila and Reda, who are living as refugees in Athens. The pair works to save enough money to purchase fraudulent passports and escape to Germany for a better life. However, their plans are derailed when Reda loses their savings due to a drug addiction. In a desperate attempt to find a way out of their circumstances, Chatila devises a risky scheme to pose as smugglers.

The film was directed by Mahdi Fleifel, who also served as a producer and co-wrote the screenplay alongside Fyzal Boulifa and Jason McColgan. It features a cast including Mahmood Bakri as Chatila and both Adam Sabbagh and Aram Sabbah as Reda, with Angeliki Papoulia playing Tatiana. The production was a multinational effort involving companies from several countries, including Greece, Palestine, France, and Saudi Arabia.
