Article 370 is an Indian action drama set against the politics of Kashmir. Zooni Haksar, a special agent, is given a confidential assignment: to reduce the violence and the shadow economy that have taken hold in the valley. Her work unfolds alongside a coming constitutional move that would strip Article 370 of its effect, and the operation is meant to be carried out without bloodshed. The film builds its conflict from the tension between a covert security mission and the political decision taking shape around it.
Aditya Suhas Jambhale directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Arjun Dhawan and Aarsh Vora. It was his first feature, followed the next year by Baramulla. Yami Gautam plays Zooni, with Priyamani as Rajeshwari Swaminathan and Skand Thakur, Vaibhav Tatwawadi, Sumit Kaul and Raj Arjun in supporting roles. Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, it runs 158 minutes.
Made for about 2 million dollars, the film earned roughly 13 million worldwide, a strong return on its budget. On IMDb it holds 7.8 from about 27,000 votes, placing it well above the average for the format, while on TMDB it has 7.1 from a much smaller sample of 49 ratings. A critics' score of 6.7 from six reviews sits below the audience figure on IMDb.
