I Am Not That

I Am Not That is a Spanish romantic comedy centered on Susana, a woman who awakens from a twenty-year coma. Though she possesses the body of an adult in the twenty-first century, she remains a teenager from the 1990s mentally and emotionally. The story follows her struggle to adapt to an unfamiliar modern world and her attempts to redefine her identity.

The film was directed by María Ripoll, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Olga Iglesias. This project followed her 2019 film Live Twice, Love Once and preceded her later works, También esto pasará and El fantasma de mi mujer. The production was handled by El Estudio, Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia, and Cahuenga Filmmakers. The movie features Verónica Echegui in the lead role as Susana, supported by a cast including Silma López, Adam Jezierski, Daniel Grao, and both Ángela Molina and Olivia Molina.
