Raqqa: Spy vs. Spy

Set in Raqqa during 2014, this thriller follows two undercover agents operating within an ISIS enclave. Haibala, a Russian spy, and Malika, an Europol agent working as a nurse, both seek to locate a high-ranking jihadist leader known as the Jordanian. Despite their differing allegiances and mutual distrust, they share the goal of finding the target to hasten the organization's collapse. The two must navigate a violent environment characterized by bombings, summary executions, and the enslavement of women.

The film was directed by Gerardo Herrero, who previously directed Under Therapy in 2023. He also served as a producer alongside Mariela Besuievsky. The screenplay was written by Irene Zoe Alameda. The movie stars Álvaro Morte in the role of Haibala and Mina El Hammani as Malika, with supporting performances by Abdelatif Hwidar, Fariba Sheikhan, Ben Temple, and Cristina Kovani.
