Set on Marajó Island in the Amazon rainforest, this drama follows thirteen-year-old Marcielle as she navigates a restrictive environment. Living with her family, Marcielle discovers a system of abuse and exploitation that affects the women in her isolated community. She seeks to protect herself and her younger sister, attempting to break a cycle of silence and oppression imposed by those around her to secure a better future.

The film marks the directorial debut of Marianna Brennand, who also served as a producer and co-wrote the screenplay with Felipe Sholl and Marcelo Grabowsky. Jamilli Correa stars as Marcielle, appearing alongside Fátima Macedo, Rômulo Braga, Emily Pantoja, Samira Eloá, and Enzo Maia. A total of 31 actors are credited in the production, which was a joint effort between companies from Brazil, Belgium, France, and Portugal.
