Happy Gilmore 2

Happy Gilmore 2 continues the story of Adam Sandler's former hockey player turned golfer, who had retired after winning a Tour Championship. Now he returns to the sport to pay for his daughter's ballet training, a goal that forces him back onto the course and into competition with a new generation of professional golfers. The clash with his old rival Shooter McGavin is renewed along the way.

Kyle Newacheck directed the film, his third feature after Game Over, Man! and Murder Mystery. Sandler wrote the screenplay with Tim Herlihy, and both also produced alongside Robert Simonds and Jack Giarraputo. Sandler leads the cast as Happy, with Julie Bowen returning as Virginia and Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin. Benny Safdie, Ben Stiller and Bad Bunny appear as Frank Manatee, Hal L and Oscar Mejías respectively. The production credits list 170 cast members and 222 crew.

Released in July 2025, the film runs 118 minutes and carries a budget of 152 million dollars. On IMDb it holds a 6.1 rating from 116,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 6.5 from 1,061 votes. A critics' rating of 5.5 from 127 reviews places it slightly below the audience scores.
