Set in the south of France during the early 1990s, this crime drama follows five childhood friends struggling with poverty and a lack of opportunity in their small town. The group's stability is shaken when one woman, a single mother, faces a reduction in her social welfare payments. Driven by a sense of injustice and a need for financial security, the women decide to rob a bank, eventually carrying out a series of bold heists. To evade the police, they use disguises, including wigs and fake mustaches, earning them the nickname the Amazon Gang in the press.

The film was directed by Mélissa Drigeard, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Vincent Juillet. The production was handled by France 2 Cinéma and Cheyenne Federation.
