Danse ta vie

Lucie is a twenty-five-year-old woman who aspires to be a professional dancer despite using a wheelchair due to a congenital disability. After being rejected during a talent show audition, she impulsively throws herself down a flight of stairs. This incident leads her to a rehabilitation center, where she meets Alexis, a former star dancer. Under the guidance of this new mentor, Lucie works to overcome numerous challenges in her pursuit of independence and her lifelong dream of dancing.

This French TV movie drama was directed by Jean-Pierre Améris, following his previous work on films such as Romantics Anonymous, Marie's Story, Family for Rent, and Illiterate. It precedes his 2025 project, It Takes Two To Tango. The screenplay was written by Murielle Magellan and produced by Denis Carot and Sophie Révil through France Télévisions and Escazal Films. The film features Magali Le Naour-Saby in the lead role as Lucie, with Samuel Mercer playing Alexis Morand. The supporting cast includes Valérie Karsenti as Lucie's mother, along with Adèle Wismes, Moïse Santamaria, and Samuel Messberg. The movie has a runtime of 90 minutes.
