Tokio Takenaka is a scriptwriter struggling with a failing marriage and a lack of professional motivation. His routine changes when Yoshimi Yokoyama, an aspiring writer and admirer of his work, convinces him to mentor her. As they collaborate, Tokio recovers his creative drive and finds new fulfillment, but he also develops a sexual attraction to his student. This new-found stability is threatened when he discovers that Yoshimi is in a relationship with another young writer, sparking a cycle of intense jealousy.
