Gao Zhilei experiences a sudden shift in his circumstances after an impulsive decision leads him to stay at home. However, unforeseen changes force him to step up as the primary provider for his family. As he struggles under the weight of these new responsibilities, he is forced to confront his own identity and attempt to rebuild his life from the beginning.

This Chinese drama was directed by Xu Zheng, who also co-wrote the screenplay with He Keke and starred as the lead character. This production follows Zheng's previous directorial efforts, Lost in Thailand from 2012 and My People, My Country from 2019. The supporting cast includes Xin Zhilei, Wang Xiao, Jia Bing, Feng Bing, and Ding Yongdai.
