Beyond the Law

Beyond the Law is a Western centering on the rivalry between criminals in the American West. After a group of thieves steals a shipment of money intended for miners, one of them, Billy Joe Cudlip, embeds himself in a small town by befriending the man responsible for the funds. By pretending to be an honest citizen, Cudlip manages to be appointed as the town sheriff. His goal is to steal a subsequent shipment of silver and money before other rivals, including a gang led by Burton, can seize it.

Directed by Giorgio Stegani, this 1968 co-production between Germany, Italy, and Monaco features a cast led by Lee Van Cleef, Antonio Sabàto, and Gordon Mitchell, with supporting roles played by Lionel Stander, Al Hoosmann, and Graziella Granata. The film's screenplay was written by Warren Kiefer, Mino Roli, and Fernando Di Leo.
