The Brown Dog is an animated drama about a security guard who spends his nights alone in a small booth. To fight off sleep and loneliness during his shifts, he writes repetitive logs, a routine that leads to a gradual psychological decline.
The short film was co-directed by Jamie James Medina and Nadia Hallgren, with a screenplay by Willis Earl Beal. It stars Michael Kenneth Williams as the protagonist, Nobody, and Steve Buscemi as a radio DJ. For Medina and Hallgren, this project follows their 2020 production Becoming and precedes their 2026 work Katseye: Wild Hearts. Produced by WeTransfer Studios and WePresent, the film is a joint effort between the United Kingdom and the United States. It has a rating of 8/10 on TMDB based on one vote.
