Jean-Michel Jarre - Starmus: Bridge from the Future

This music film documents a live performance that opened the seventh STARMUS Festival in Bratislava. The event combined a science-fiction soundscape with large-scale visual elements, including laser displays, fireworks, and a choreographed ballet of 400 drones. Set against the SNP Bridge, the production featured a custom stage with two 30-metre towers. The music was designed to encourage reflection on humanity's place in the cosmos and the future of Earth, incorporating actual sounds from stars.

The performance featured a first-time collaboration between electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre and Queen guitarist Brian May, who performed a new arrangement of Dvořák’s New World Symphony along with adapted pieces titled Bratislava Time and Rendez-vous Bratislava. Jarre was joined by Claude Samard, Adiescar Chase, the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, and a 19-piece chorus.

The film was produced by Sony Music Entertainment and directed by Peter Núñez. This project followed Núñez's 2024 film, Jean-Michel Jarre: Most z budúcnosti.
